ASDA Field Finals

The ASDA field finals were held at Milton Scott’s place east of Airdrie in October and were blessed with decent fall weather.
It was dry and occasionally sunny. All in all, quite a contrast to the wild, cool, weather we got in the same location at a trial held in the spring.
But like that first trial, the event was well organized and the sheep were excellent. We also had one of North America’s top handlers judging. Amanda Milliken is from Kingston, Ontario, and counts winning the 2005 USBCHA Open Championship with Bart among her many successes.

The double-lift Open final proved a challenge for many, as it often does, but Ian Zoerb and Peg did a good job of it and won. The other first-place finishers were: Ed Greenslade and Zac in Novice; Corey Perry and Jill in both Intermediate and Nursery; and Carl Sneddon and Fan in Pro-Novice.
Sorry this report is so short, but I’m doing it from memory and it’s been a while. The only other thing that springs to mind is a pretty spectacular shed, executed by our host, Milton Scott.
